BIS Bingo and How it Works
By utilizing Bingo Innovation Software (BIS), gaming establishments and lotteries will open up the current Bingo game to the entire market of players who walk into their gaming establishment without changing the appeal for their current group of core Bingo players.
Our patented technology tracks every bingo card sold with no limit on the number of bingo cards that can be sold. The gaming establishment or lottery can choose from an unlimited number of patterns for game play, such as straight, four corners, picture frame, etc. as well as custom patterns to keep the game interesting and/or tie into local promotional opportunities, holidays, or current events. Examples include a Christmas Tree, or a “C” for local car dealership promotion.
Players entering the gaming establishment will have the opportunity to purchase their bingo cards from the cashier or through a terminal. For state and national lotteries, cards would be purchased through lottery retailers. Cards can be sold up to two minutes before the game. Once the card is purchased a file is created with the card and the numbers’ location on that card. Every time a card is purchased a file is created. Our software then uses these card files to track the numbers on the card and the pattern being played. We can also track how many cards are one, two, or three numbers away from hitting BINGO.
Because all cards are tracked through our software, players need not be present in the Bingo Hall to win. This allows players to purchase a card for the game and continue to play the slots or the table games if they prefer. The gaming establishment is now receiving two revenue streams at the same time from one player. For lotteries, BIS Bingo is a new online game offering with global appeal.
The Bingo drawing proceeds as normal, but as each number is called, this number is entered into a laptop that houses the software. As each number is entered, the number of cards that are 3, 2, and 1 hit away are displayed. As soon as a winning pattern is achieved, the software notifies of a winner and lists how many cards contain the winning pattern.
Our software also gives the gaming establishment or lottery the option of holding Bingo drawings at off-hours, i.e. “midnight madness” or “super early bird”. And with the software’s random number generator, there is no need to have a bingo host “call” the numbers in the off-hour drawings. Just set the random number generator and let it run!
BIS Bingo also offers three methods of results distribution at the convenience of the player. Once a player has purchased a Bingo card, they can check it at the gaming establishment or lottery retailer to see if they have won anything. However, if they are leaving the gaming establishment and would like to purchase a card for a late night drawing, they can check their card in one of two ways.
They can visit the website of the gaming establishment or lottery and enter their Bingo card number and either choose to see a replay of the game, or see their card with all of the numbers that were called highlighted. Once they put in their card number, they will see a representation of their Bingo card on the screen.
If they replay the game, they will see each number that was drawn. If any of the numbers drawn are on their card, that number will be highlighted or “daubed” on their card that appears on their computer screen. As each number is drawn, the screen will also show how many cards were 3, 2, and 1 hit away from achieving a Bingo.
If they choose to just view the results, again, their card will appear on the screen with all numbers called “daubed”.
The second method of reveal is through the player’s cell phone. This method opens up a younger market of players that are used to using their cell phone as an entertainment device. All the player needs to do is download a java application to their cell phone. The application will be provided by BIS and located on the website of the gaming establishment or lottery. The player only has to download this application once.
Again, once the drawing is completed, the player can choose to either view the results or replay the game as described above after entering their Bingo Card number into the application on their cell phone. Winning cards will draw the player back to the gaming establishment or lottery retailer to cash in their card for their prize.
The BIS Bingo software tracks each card and will validate whether the card is a winner by comparing the pattern played and the pattern on the Bingo Card in a secure manner. Validating the card in this manner eliminates human error and attempted card “tampering”.
By utilizing the BIS Bingo software and offering these three methods of delivering results, the gaming establishment or lottery will be able to expand the market for their Bingo game and expand the number of games offered - resulting in larger jackpots for the players and an increase in revenue for the gaming establishment or lottery.
